Setting up an Automatic Forwarding Rule
Welcome to our Zomato Panel! Below, you’ll find step-by-step guides to help you set up an automatic forwarding rule for submitting your Zomato order confirmations. Simply select your email provider to get started. Have questions? Reach out to us anytime at [email protected].
For Gmail:
Step 1: Enable Gmail Email Forwarding:
- Log in to Gmail: Go to Gmail and sign in.
- Open Settings:
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.
- Select See all settings.
- Go to Forwarding:
- Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Under the “Forwarding” section, click Add a forwarding address.
- Enter Forwarding Email:
- Type [email protected] and click Next.
- Click Proceed in the confirmation dialog.
- Confirm the Address:
- Gmail will send a verification email to [email protected].
- Open the forwarded account’s inbox and click the verification link or enter the confirmation code back in Gmail.
Step 2: Create a Filter to Auto-Forward:
- Go Back to Gmail: Once forwarding is enabled, go to your Gmail inbox.
- Open Filter Settings:
- Click the search bar at the top of the Gmail interface.
- Click the sliders icon (🔽) at the right of the search bar to open advanced search options.
- Set the Filter Conditions:
- In the “From” field, type [email protected].
- In the “Subject” field, type “Your Zomato order from”.
- Click Create filter at the bottom right.
- Choose the Action:
- Check the box for Forward it to.
- Select [email protected] from the drop-down menu (this will only appear if forwarding is already set up).
- Click Create filter.
Step 3: Important Notes:
- If the forwarding doesn’t work, double-check that forwarding is enabled in Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
For Outlook on the Web:
- Log in:
- Open Outlook Web and log in to your account.
- Access Settings:
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.
- Click View all Outlook settings at the bottom.
- Create a Rule:
- Go to Mail -> Rules -> + Add new rule.
- Name the rule (e.g., “Forward from [email protected]”).
- Set the Condition:
- Under “Add a condition,” select From.
- Enter [email protected].
- Under “add a condition,” select Subject.
- Enter “Your Zomato order from”.
- Set the Action:
- Under “Add an action,” select Forward to.
- Enter [email protected] and click Save.
- Finish:
- Click Save to activate the rule.
Important Notes:
- Check with Admins: If you’re using Outlook for work or school, forwarding might be restricted by your organization’s policies.
- Review Forwarding Settings: If you no longer need this rule, go back and delete it.
For Outlook Desktop App:
- Open Outlook:
- Launch the Outlook app on your computer.
- Go to Rules:
- Click on the File tab in the top-left corner.
- Select Manage Rules & Alerts.
- Create a New Rule:
- In the “Rules and Alerts” dialog box, click on New Rule.
- Under “Start from a blank rule,” select Apply rule on messages I receive, then click Next.
- Set the Condition:
- In the list of conditions, check from people or public group.
- Click the blue underlined text people or public group in the “Edit the rule description” box below.
- Enter [email protected] and click Add -> OK.
- In the list of conditions, check with specific words in the subject.
- Enter “Your Zomato order from”.
- Click Next.
- Set the Action:
- Check the box for forward it to people or public group.
- Click the blue underlined text people or public group.
- Enter [email protected] and click Add -> OK.
- Click Next.
- Name and Finish:
- Give your rule a name (e.g., “Zomato Project Research Forward”).
- Check the box for Turn on this rule and click Finish.
- Apply and Save:
- In the “Rules and Alerts” dialog, click Apply -> OK.
Important Notes:
